Well the post title pretty much says it all. It’s clear now. The decision has been made. På Nordpolen by Nordpolen was the best album of 2008. Without any doubt. I guess it’s slightly easier for me to relate to Pelle Hellström than the Glasgow-an quartet whose tremendous debut album I initally announced as the best album of 2008. The three songs that made me do this change half a year later can be found below. This is the second time I’ve had to put a new album into last year’s top 3 albums. I discovered The Field in early 2008 instead of early 2007, you see. A little Lemur curiosa for you.
Oh, and I’m working on translations of the lyrics from the Swedish-sung albums På Nordpolen by Nordpolen and Lyssna by Avner. They’ll both be up tomorrow. I’ve already translated Jonathan Johansson’s fantastic En Hand I Himlen. TLB is all about internet music blog public service at its best
