I have to face the truth and spell it out: I can’t keep weekly, recurring features because I just can’t keep them going warm… Maybe you’ve noticed they haven’t been appearing for quite some time.

The Chart is gone, the whole page was deleted. It wasn’t that it was a bad idea, my energ and the feature’s significance just didn’t match the amount of effort and time needed.

3 Randoms is an incredibly fun feature, but if I’m going to be consistent I need to skim it down. The randomization that my ipod and my computer processed just weren’t that fun after all. I mean, I know somewhat what I have and I’ve heard 99% of it before. So a single Hypem randomization seems more exciting and it’s yet another way for me to exquisitely express my love for Hypem!

Great Tracks You Couldn’t Find On Hypem…. there comes a time where finding a great track that isn’t on Hypem and really deserves its own post and to be on Hypem is really hard. The risk is that it will be a little strained and unnatural. So I’ll skip that feature too.

The posts will still be there but the categories won’t. I’ll be removing those in three days, so make sure to check out the previous posts in the categories 3 Randoms and Great Tracks You Couldn’t Find On Hypem before the categories are removed. The disappearing of these features on the blog will give me more time to focus on actual blogging instead of over-structured and routine-based blogging. This is something I’ve struggled with ever since I started blogging back in April 2007. You need to find a balance between spontaneous posts and schematic posts. I guess you could see it as something that requests…. symmetry…

P.S.

Don’t worry, each Remix Roundup is worth every second of effort from my part, so that remains unthreatened of cancelling ;)
