Together with Passion Pit, Little Boots may be considered THE breakthrough and hype of the year in the indie/alternative blogosphere. When I first heard the little jewel of an EP, Arecibo, I mistook Little Boots for a bloghousepop flare that would soon go out and either undeservedly plod on never quite make a proper breakthrough or, horrible thought, disappear quickly. I totally misjudged the audiences’ ability to take in her debut EP’s flagship track, Stuck On Repeat, and appreciate the slowgrooving massiveness the progressive dancepop offers. It’s majestic to say at least, and it has been stuck on repeat in my ipod ever since the Autumn of 2008 when I first picked it up.
Now, Victoria Hesketh, as his the British lady’s real name, have released an eponymous EP since then and is set to release her debut album Hands on June 6. If her electronic pop sound as delicious as it has sounded this far, and as yummy as her spacey luxury cover arts have looked, then we’re up for one of the pop albums I’m most likely to devour with great greed and utter satisfaction this year. It feels good to have a proper discopop diva in the indie/alternative too. No offence, Peaches and Annie!
Both of these great songs will be on Hands as well!

Maybe La Roux aswell?!?! ^^
Little Boots Rocks!!
