It took me quite a while to understand that Passion Pit was perhaps something I ought to check out as a blogger. But the new indie kids on the block became an instant infatuation of mine when I picked up their debut EP Chunk Of Change two weeks into January this year.
If there’s anything that blogs love, it’s college-born indie/alternative music, remember Vampy Weeky?! What started as a set of six songs to lead vocalist Michael Angelakos’s then-girlfriend has blown up into the blogosphere’s latest darling band. It’s easy to see why. What may seem sketchy and childishly intuitive electropop is actually quite sketchy and childishly intuitive electropop. There’s no doubt, however that there lies a sheer sense of songwriting talent and infatuation with music itself in the band. Hence, I long to hold their debut album Manners, dropping on May 18, in my hands. I suspect that the album will broaden Passion Pit’s sound and prove that there are more to them than charming, semi-lo-fi, cute electronics and lovelorn falsetto vocals - things that we on the other hand have come to love Passion Pit for!

I thought you had ended your blog?
Hi there!.

About Passion Pit, have you listen Better things?… That’s the best song of Chunk of Change, from a personal opinion.
