Beaumont is the so far undiscovered bedroom producer out of Sydney making the sort of progressive electro the blogosphere is now leaning towards and craving for. With that extremely charming homemade 80s retro synth sound (dreamwave anyone?) that Valerie and Binary and I dig, Beaumont is very right in time although he himself states he is “kind of a hermit and don’t get involved in the scene as much as he should”. Well the music doesnt’ seem to suffer from it, and as long as I know I will be hearing more from him, I’ll be satisified.

Hey n00bs! The links aren’t broken! Only getting a few 200 something kb (about 15 seconds of the track) sometimes happen when downloading tracks. I know, I’ve been there too. You just need to be patient and try it several times until you get the whole track. I think it’s a web browser bug because it happens to me at zshare, auxiliary servers etc. But I can’t recall a failed initial download through mediafire or ysi, though. Weird.
So just try it several times! Sometimes you’re lucky and get it on the first try and sometimes you have to try it 2-3 times. But I wonder why I got three comments on the issue in this post in particular…?
um no…that’s not what’s happening, I am getting 0kb because the links are broken. The files simply aren’t in the linked location. You got three comments on this post because this is the only post with broken links. You mentioned zshare/ysi/mediafire, but these files are hosted by your own site (according to these links) so it can’t be an issue with them. I’ve downloaded hundreds of MP3s from your blog (which I am very thankful for!) so I know how to properly execute a download. Sorry but I am just trying to help, and I’m dying to hear these remixes!!
Now I know what is wrong. Gosh why didn’t I see that before? The file names can’t contain any special symbols like `´ or ‘. That’s why the urls fuck up. But they don’t seem to fuck up on all computers. Binary’s and my home computer from where I uploaded the tracks seemed to be able to download them. I’ll look into it and make sure future tracks don’t have ‘ `´ in their file names.
I’ll see if I can start a fix-up work of all past links this weekend. I’ll start with this post and then work my way backwards.
