Hammarin & Robin spit out a preview track from their upcoming first EP in a trilogy: Superlove Part 1. Spit is a curious pop song loaded with playful percussion and that playful flair that only the pop from the 80s could have. Although it doesn’t strike me as hard as Hell Knows I’m In Love and Lingering Regret did, Spit is one of the most interesting pop songs you can hear right now. It is a little more settled and sane than we this far are used to hear the absolutely brilliant duo. After the exuberant debut the boys made in my life early this year through the lovely netlabel Mad For It, it’s good to hear a little more delicate approach to the always sincere songwriting and production. The expectations are high and the wait seems long for the EP. But I’m assured that my favourite act this year can’t do anything wrong, there’s too much speaking for them.
