This band has just blown my mind. If I say The Knife meets Animal Collective and you don’t shit your pants, then wait til you hear We Are The World’s music. The above promo pic is absolutely brilliant and so is their haunting tunes of electronic noise, harsh and raw electro beats, vague allusions to pop á la the two beforementioned bands and a chaotic sense of playful experimentality. If they manage to focus this mind-twisting energy into an album, then Fever Ray’s debut album might just have a worthy opponent of demonic measures. If these are the world, I don’t know how far I’ll be able to go without going insane. Because they are human, indeed, but such a slanted sort of humanity scares the hell out of me.
