Having trouble downloading the mp3s that I host on my own server? For some, clicking the mp3 links will make a popup of the mp3-file appear and you can just save it right away wherever you want on your hard disk drive. This is what happens at my stationary computer.

But at my laptop, clicking the links will get me to a page where Quicktime streams the track. Maybe this is what happens to some of you. Then here’s what you need to do:

Right click the link and then “Save as”

Try it on this one (you may have to try it several times):

The Tough Alliance - First Class Riot

Please let me know if you are still having trouble. Try to explain thoroughly in detail and there’s a bigger chance we might find the problem and the solution to it. :)

Sometimes things go awry - when the file’s stored on your server - and I get this message: “Internet Explorer cannot download … from thelemurblog.com. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.” while downloading other mp3s at the same moment go without a hitch. Links via ysi is a lottery tickets: now and again the quota has been reached and I can’t download…

Ann, I was too a trusting IE user for sooo long. And I know that habits that usually work are hard to change. But I would suggest you try using Mozilla Firefox instead, I think there’s a chance downloading the mp3s will work better then. Besides, Firefox has got some features that I think makes it superior to Internet Explorer overall. It’s totally free and just as easy to use, if not easier. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox I have both and switch between them when one thing isn’t working on the other. But mostly I strongly prefer Firefox, frankly I can’t believe how I could live without it, haha :) Let me know any improvements!
