Yay! I went to the music expo in Solnahallen, Solna, a suburb to Stockholm, today. It was great fun to see so many rarities and old CDs and vinyls. Alternative, indie and contemporary music was underrepresented, as expected, but there was all the more Swedish schlager, country, rockabilly, 70s progressive rock, metal, hard rock, jazz and funk to botanize in :) . The compilation CD with 30 Swedish artists against the EU entrance (Sweden entered the European Union in 1995) made my day, haha! :D But no politic opposition or dusty old folk favourites for me this time, nope. And I don’t care much for vinyl records at this stage of my life, I only own two 12″ by Pacific!. I’m not a CD collector in the words true meaning either, even though I buy many more CDs than the average person, and especially youth, in Sweden. Check below what I bought and some sample mp3s.

Kraftwerk - Kraftwerk
Kraftwerk - Kraftwerk 2
Kraftwerk - Ralf & Florian

I just remembered that Kraftwerk are planning to re-release a box set of these three early albums of theirs after the long planned 8-album discography box Der Katalog. Any news on that, anyone?

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works Volume II

Röyksopp - Poor Leno (Promo Single)
Björk - Who Is It (Promo Single)

Aphex Twin - Blue Calx (ysi) (this is yet another track I couldn’t upload to my ftp for some reason)

Röyksopp - Poor Leno (Edit)

Björk - Who Is It (Carry My Joy On The Left, Carry My Pain On The Right) (Lesser’s C2N Dattasette Mix)
